Traditional C8 (8 carbon) type water repellents contains PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) or PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfuric acid), which would be gradually accumulated in organisms and cause injury to humans.  New environmentally friendly C6 and C0 type water repellents can not only repel water and oil, but also comply with EU laws that have completely banned the usage of PFCs.

In order to be more eco-friendly, De Licacy is now using C6 and C0 water repellent agent to produce related products.  These fabrics are water and oil repellent, and have smooth hand feel at the same time.
